Falken (Falken Tires ?) is a Japanese company founded in 1983 as a brand for Ohtsu Tire and Rubber manufactures a range of performance tires.
Currently paired with Falken Tyres Dunlop Dunlop Tires Falken to form, Ltd., the parent company of Falken Tire Corporation
Falken was launched in its native Japan in 1983 and was presented to the North American market two years later. At its inception, Falken was created as the flagship high performance radial brand under the name Ohtsu Tire and Rubber.
Falken Tire Corporation, based in Fontana, California, is the head office and distribution center for West Coast operations in North America.
Falken has been chosen as the provision of original equipment vehicle brands such as Subaru, Suzuki and Daihatsu.
Falken sponsors racing series such as ALMS (American Le Mans Series) and national championships as Taikyu Super Series, the 24 Hours of Nürburgring and series such as Formula D and D1 Grand Prix. Falken was the sponsor of the British Drift Championship until 2010, Maxxis Tyres then became the title sponsor.
In 2004, Falken has developed a race car in collaboration with Nissan  , the Nissan Skyline GTR R34 Falken, motorized L6. She then worked with Ford in 2005 to create a car drift  , Falken Ford Mustang GT driver Vaughn Gittin Jr.
